Greetings, adventurer. 

First off, we’d like to apologize for not speedily informing our adventurers, and any resulting inconvenience thereof, regarding the server addition which was consistently requested upon.  

The Black Desert Customer Service team had confirmed feedback from our adventurers last May 2020 regarding server additions, and planned to temporarily open the “Rulupee 1, 2 servers” for approximately 2 months. 

Later, once Season Servers were added, Rulupee 1 was converted into the Season 1 server, and Rulupee 2 into the Season Arsha server. When a season concluded, these servers would revert to the temporary servers of Rulupee 1, 2. 

Yet the Turkey & MENA 3rd Anniversary, new class Nova update, Winter Season update, and others led to a greater increase of adventurers logging into Black Desert, which became evident that this cycle of switching between temporary and season servers wasn’t enough to improve the gameplay environment for our existing adventurers. 

Adventurers crowded at certain hunting grounds and/or servers, especially during times when Node/Conquest Wars were being carried out, as only 3 of the servers weren’t carrying out Siege Wars. As our adventurers clearly felt the lack of hunting grounds was a prevailing issue, we decided to unveil a new server once the winter season comes to an end. 

However, ever since early January 2021, many of our adventurers expressed their serious concern regarding this matter through customer support, e-mails, forums, in-game chat groups, and so on. 

The degree to which our adventurers experienced this issue was much higher than what we anticipated, to which we are truly sorry for not having provided a faster response to deal with this issue. 

Again, we apologize for not providing the best gameplay experience in such restricted space. 

We’ve held emergency meetings with the relevant departments to come up with and carry out measures to deal with the matter as soon as possible. 

First, we will be opening the new Mediah - 2 server during this week’s regular maintenance.   

The Mediah - 2 server is not a temporary server like the Rulupee server, but a permanent and entirely new server that will be open to all adventurers, new and veterans alike, and unaffected by season servers. 

In addition, we plan on adding another server between the period when the winter season ends and before the next season begins. 

Yet preparing to open a new server is a long and arduous process, so we ask for your understanding as there may be some changes to the actual release date for this new server. 

We also realize that just adding new servers won’t solve all of the issues our adventurers have conveyed to us. 

Therefore, we will continue to pay heed to the opinions of all our adventurers, as we strive to find fundamental solutions such as improving hunting grounds and adding new zones.
