“Princess of the Fallen Kingdom, longing for the power of the beast"

A woman came to the deserted island of Haemo, with a newborn in her arms.

There were beasts inhabiting the dense forest of this island.

Wounded from her arrival, she died in the forest. A beast took the newborn under its care.

For the beast, the baby was a pure curiosity for a mysterious creature it had never seen before.

Eventually, the beast grew affectionate of this innocent creature, and raised her as its own.

After some time had passed the baby grew into a beautiful young girl, and Master Hwisa returned to Haemo island along with his legendary beast, Heilang. Hwisa had just returned after a long unsuccessful journey to find an heir to replace him.

The girl was more or less a beast. Hwisa, who was puzzled by how she came to be, took her in as his apprentice.

Because the girl’s upbringing, she developed a bond with the fierce looking Heilang that could have easily scared other girls her age.

She absorbed her master’s teachings day by day at impressive speed.

As she grew up to be a human rather than a beast, she became curious about her past.

But no one knew. She had only one clue. It was the fact that a woman brought her to Haemo when she was a newborn.

To find out more about her origins, she secretly stepped inside the world of humans without her master knowing.

Although it took her a few years, she was able to learn about her identity.

But she wasn’t all too happy about what she had learned. It turned out that she was intricately connected to the epicenter of a civil war that had been plaguing the land for many years.

A coup had taken place in a deteriorating kingdom, and its royal family was exterminated.

Amidst the tragedy, one of the Queen’s maids escaped the palace with the new born baby princess.

She ran away from her pursuers and reached Haemo, the forbidden island inhabited by beasts.

Having found out the truth about her origin, she returned home to Haemo Island but noticed something had gone wrong.

Upon entering the island, the place reeked of blood.

Her quest to dig up her past had alerted the conspirators of the old kingdom who had come to finish her off.

While she was mourning Hwisa’s death, she realized she could no longer stay in the country.

Thus she chose to leave. Before she left, she hung her precious ‘Celestial Bo Staff’ on Hwisa’s grave.

At a mountain overpass, she was startled by a black shadow appear before her.

It was a young Heilang beast left behind by its dead mother. The young best was still weak, but the girl knew that it would be make a good companion on her journey to the west.

The westward trek did not prove to be easy. Along the journey, she came across the black energy that killed her family and master.

It was the black energy that had spurred on the chaos and tragedy of her tumultuous past.

After coming close to death many times, she remembered what Hwisa told her as a child.
