Black Desert is scheduled for an authentication certificate update on December 28, 2020 (Mon). 

Please refer to the steps below and update your authentication certificate to prevent any problems that might have occurred during launcher updates and other official website connection issues.

■ Guide on Installing Authentication 

You may choose the method the installation between (1) and (2) but we recommend taking Method (2) for automated updates in the future. 
  

Method 1 – Customized Installation for Authentication  

1) Download the installation file by clicking on “Download Authentication”.

- Inside the downloaded file are 3 authentication files (ChainCA1, ChainCA2, RootCA). 

2) Double-click on the provided authentication files and follow the steps below. 

3) Install Authentication (I) → Select Local Computer (L) → Next (N) → Automatically select save directory based on authentication certificate (U) → Next (N) → Finish (F) 

- Click (Yes) for any access required while installing the authentication. 

Method 2 – Activating Root Certificate Auto-update  

1) Search for “Windows Registry” in the Window Search Bar or press “Win + R” and type “regedit” 

2) Go to the following directory: 

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\AuthRoot 

3) Change “DisableRootAutoUpdate” to 0 and save → Restart PC 

■ Testing Authentication

Domain Connection Test 

1. Goto the link below and proceed with the root certificate test.

→ USERTrust RSA Certification Authority : https://addtrustaia.test.certificatetest.com/ 

2. Pressthe “Lock” icon near the URL bar → Select Authentication → Select Authentication Directory Tab and confirm directory.
