We’d like to announce the updates made to the Black Desert as of 2018 January 18th (Thursday).

During today’s maintenance, we made such updates as “4th tier Wild Horse, Asula Accessory Series 39 cases of update (Patch volume approx.  545 MB)

【Event】

●  New Year Food Event will be held.

【Character】

● Messages for available poses while sitting down, lying down, walking, or standing by in underwater have been added.

 

【Sorceress】

  - Basic AP at Lv. 58 has been increased by 5 on average.

  - Therefore, PvE damage has been increased as well.

  - PvP damage has been decreased by approximately 1.44% due to the basic AP increase so that PvP damage remains the same level.

 

【Kunoichi/Ninja】

● Ninjutsu: Description for Block Jump skill has been updated as per its actual effect. 

● PvP Damage Reduction from a single hit of the skill Throwing Kick has been removed.   Therefore, PvP Damage Reduction of the skill Ninjutsu: Block Jump by hitting ← key on Main weapon stance has been removed as well. 

 

【Item】

● Endurance has been changed to Stamina on a description of an item Carrot. 

● The following description has been added on Beginner’s Serendian Soldier: 

  - Cannot share set effect with normal Costumes.

● Item Drop Rate increases 5% by 10% possibilities per one Node Investment Level for defeating monsters.

【Monster】

● Fixed the issue where the Stone fired from Saunil Immobile Catapult was stopped in the air.

 

【NPC】

● Black Spirit’s appearance for its Level 1, 2, 3 and 6 have been improved to be more round and less repulsive.

 

【Mounts】

● Fixed the graphical glitch where eating food while being mounted looked unnatural. 

【Contents】

● An issue where weapon disappeared after Calpheon Soldier bowed to the Lord has been fixed.

● Item drop rate will now increase according to Knowledge Grade. 

  - Each Ecology Knowledge will be calculated as points according to their grade. 

  - The Item Drop Rate will increase as shown in the table below by each total points, and this will be applied for defeating monsters.

  - The effects of your Ecology Knowledge is shown in the bottom part of your Knowledge (H) window. 

  - The advantage of having higher grade Knowledge to defeat monsters more easily will still be applied in the same way. 

  - Party drop items and junk items that always drop from monsters will not be affected by how many Knowledge (Ecology) points you have.

** Please note that gaining 8000 points at this moment in MENA & Turkey server is not allowed since current ingame contents are not fully opened. However, you will be able to enjoy the higher rates in the future as more contents will be added with updates! **

 

● Fixed an issue where an abnormal shadow was displayed when opening dye window, and knowledge window.

● Fixed an issue where the tool tip of Retrieve All function was awkward. 

● Amount of buff you’re getting by increasing node level from investing your contribution points is now displayed on buff icon tooltip.

● Tier 4 Wild Horses have been added.

● The rate of getting a Foal with a higher tier has been increased for horse breeding. 

● Smugglers have been added to each city listed below.     

**You can meet these NPCs only at night (after 22:00 ingame time) and they will disappear in the morning. 

【Quest, Knowledge】

● In the Knowledge screen (H), detailed hints have been added for locked Knowledge entries when hovering the mouse over the titles.

● The Knowledge “Freharau’s Advice” can be gained through dialogue with Alustin from Glish.

 

【Pearl Shop】

● Fixed the graphical glitch where if you entered the Pearl Shop with your non-Wizard character and previewed Wizard’s outfits, and you used the button to raised his hair and let it fall back down again, the hairstyle changed from young Wizard’s hair to old Wizard’s hair.

 

【UI】

● The highest price is now automatically set at Marketplace when registering a new item that hasn’t been registered before.

● An information window about benefit of joining guild pops up when an adventurer without guild hits a shortcut key (G) for guild.

● An issue where a tooltip was not closed when directing to Knowledge Window from the Chat has been fixed.

● A guide information has been added to the left of the screen while swimming.

● Fixed the issue where 4K (or higher) screenshot was saved as a black screen on certain computers.

● Fixed the graphical glitch with Ladellin Helmet and Bern Helmet which appeared when adjusting Ranger’s forehead.

● The dye slot of Serendian Soldier Outfit for the female characters has been restored. 

● Fixed the issue where the bare head is shown when using the 7th hairstyle set for the Witch class.

● The location for View Underwear, Pets, Maid, and Placement Mode buttons displayed within your residence have been adjusted. 

● The image of the Loyalty tab within the Pearl Shop of the English version of the game has been changed to V. 

● Fixed the issue where the tooltip was not turned off when you moved to the knowledge screen by clicking on the knowledge link in the conversation window.

● A button which lets you view the list of the whole hotkey setting has been added to ESC menu.

● Fixed an issue where the Turkish Crafting notes were shown in the English version of the game.

【Other】

● Fixed the color differences between high quality screenshots and regular screenshots.

● Fixed the issue where a single resource was able to be gathered twice around Calpheon Castle.

● Searching items in the Marketplace is no longer affected by Capitalization of letters. 

【Sound】

● Sound will no longer play during the opening logo animation.

● Fixed an issue so that event music and sound effects only play during the event period.
