Event Period
- July 22, 2020 (Wed) after maintenance – August 19, 2020 (Wed) before maintenance
Event Details
① Use Black Desert’s characters/classes and backgrounds to re-imagine a world-famous painting. (Portraits are also acceptable!)
② Take an amazing screenshot of your re-creation!
Criteria for World Famous Paintings
- Painting does not havepossible copyright concerns
(e.g. Created before 1920 or created by someone who passed away before 1949) - Only portraits that use the Character Customization will be accepted.
- Subject must include a character/person, and subjectssuch as landscapes and objects will not be accepted.
- Ifyour screenshot is too different from the original painting or has been excessively edited with image editing software, it may not be eligible to win.
* Please note that if your screenshot does not fulfill the number 1 criteria, it may be deemed as a violation of copyright, which will result in the deletion of your post without prior warning.
③ Post your screenshot to the Black Desert website on [Community] -> [Screenshot/Clips] board.

* The maximum number of winners is subject to change.
* If a submission that includes another Adventurer receives the Excellence Reward, the Adventurer who helped will receive the participation reward, while the Adventure who created the post will receive the excellence reward.
(Note: If the submission selected to only receive the participation reward, only the post creator will receive the participation reward.)
* he event rewards will be sent your in-game mailbox (B) after the event ends after the maintenance on August 26, 2020 (Wed).
※ Event Notices
- Please note that the painting/artwork you choose to imitate must be by creators who have passed away prior to 1949 or created before 1920 in order to avoid any copyright concerns. If your post fails to meet this criterion, it may be deemed as a violation of copyright which will result in the deletion of your post without any prior warning.
- You must be the creator of the character customization used for the event, and you will be disqualified if you use someone else’s customization.
- If we need to verify the creator, we will verify it based on what is recorded in the Beauty Album. Adventurers participating in the event should register their customization in the Beauty Album for verification purposes.
- If you participate in this event more than once, the post with the higher score will be evaluated first.
- Pearl Abyss shall be entitled to the Secondary Copyrights of all content (screenshots, videos, etc.) submitted for the event without limitations to time and region for promotional purposes.
- The winners announcement is expected to be within 2 weeks after the end of the event through the website and email. However, this is subject to change depending on mitigating circumstances.
- The number of event winners may change depending on the number of participants.
- If the participating post contains content (incites violence/inflammatory) that violates the Operational Policy, the post may be deleted, and you may be restricted in accordance with the Operational Policy.
- If you are found to have participated in the event in an inappropriate way, such as stealing another person’s work or violating copyright, you will be disqualified from the event and have any prizes withdrawn even after the winners announcement.
- You will be disqualified if your post includes a Family name, Character name, Guild name, or any other content that is inappropriate.
- By participating in the event and uploading a screenshot, you acknowledge you have understood and agreed to the terms of this event page. If any violation of copyright is discovered, you will be disqualified from the event and will be responsible for any further legal repercussions.
- Pearl Abyss reserves the right to change or cancel the event depending on circumstances. If changes are made, they can be found on this event page.
- There may be restrictions on trading/selling event items, and they may have usage expiration dates and different binding settings. These items cannot be transferred or restored due to this reason.
- Please refer to the in-game item description for details on whether the item is bound.
- Items that were sent or used properly cannot be recovered
- Participating in the event using inappropriate methods will result in a cancellation/retrieval of your reward and restriction from the game.
