We’d like to announce the updates made to the Black Desert as of 2018 January 11 th (Thursday).

During today’s maintenance, we made such updates as “Kunoichi character, the boss monster Kzarka, Night Merchant(Patrigio), House Fame, Tavern Quests and 31 cases of update (Patch volume approx.  405 MB)

【Event】

●  Prove you are the true assassin! Event will be held.

●  Rise UP Kunoichi Now or Never! Event will be held.

: Period : 2018  01 / 11 ~ 02 / 1 Before the maintenance  [▶Go to Event]

【Character】

● Some of the skill videos for Warrior, Sorceress, Tamer have been changed.

 

【Warrior】

● An issue where HP was additionally recovered under certain circumstances by using HP Potion has been fixed.

 

【Berserker】

● Fixed an issue where Berserker’s skin texture was not correctly displayed when changing his facial expression in standby.

【Ranger】

● Fixed an issue where Cooldown time was reset after using the skill Pinpoint and Blasting Gust in sequence.

【Tamer】

● Fixed an issue where abnormal motion was intermittently displayed during Sprint from standby.

【Kunoichi/Ninja】

● The Cooldown time of the skill Target Chase has been changed. (30,27,25 >> 30,25,20)

 

【Item】

● Fixed an issue where Functional Costume was included as part of outfit set effect.

● Description for Functional Costume and Crafted Clothes have been edited.

● This Functional Costume can get its own Set Effect -> Functional and Crafted Costumes, except Canape, will not count towards the Outfit Slot equip Effect.

● Canape Set Effect is now more outstanding.

 

【Contents】

● Strong Protection buff in the Red Battlefield has been adjusted.

● A more outstanding and fulfilling effect has been applied to the successive enhancement of Pri, Duo, Tri. 

●  The Set Effect for Outfits have been revamped:

  - The “Outfit Slot Equip Effect” will be applied to all Outfit items even if the items are not from the same outfit set.

  - The more of the following Outfit Slots you fill up with Outfit items, the better effects you can enjoy: Helmet, Top, Gloves, Shoes, Main Weapon, Sub-weapon, Awakening Weapon and Underwear.

  - Outfit Slot Equip Effect (4 Parts) Combat EXP +10%

  - Outfit Slot Equip Effect (6 Parts) Combat EXP +10%, Skill EXP +10%

  - Outfit Slot Equip Effect (8 Parts) Combat EXP +10%, Skill EXP +10%, Durability Reduction Resistance +10%, Death Penalty -10%

  - The more slots you fill up, the better the effect will be!

  - The fundamental effects of each Outfit item will still remain the same.

● Character Slot has been expanded to 9 with the opening of the Kunoichi Character. 

● An issue where the fishing was possible in unavailable areas(above the ground) has been fixed. 

 

 【Quests, Knowledge】

● Knowledge about Insectivore Plant can be obtained randomly when gathering Insectivore Plant.

● NPC Dawson speaks now during a quest Extraction Mill Manager.

● Some of unobtainable Knowledge have been deleted.

● Enhanced Knowledge Acquisition 

  - You can get higher graded knowledge without deleting the current knowledge you have.

  - The text that shows up when gaining Higher Knowledge has been changed. 

               ㄴObtained Higher Knowledge Monsters have become easier to defeat

  

【UI】

● Fixed the issue where no message was shown when trying to craft with Cooking Utensil/Alchemy Tool that has 0 Durability.

● Fixed an issue where Coupon button was overlapped in Pearl Shop when choosing Outfit/Costume right after clicking either of Select Weather or Show Special Action.

● A new button Save Setting has been added in Interface Edit Mode.

● A warning message now pops up when attempting to use Preset without having none of them saved in Interface Edit Mode.

● An Event Window now pops up when there is no Attendance Reward Event.

● Description of Functional Costume has been added.

● Clicking on nodes on the World map would bring up Node Information instead of Node name from now.

● The options that used to be instantly applied (Interface Setting, Photo Filter, Adjust Vision Range and others) will now be applied when you click Apply button. 

● Fixed an issue where the values set in UI edit mode get reset when loading personal information after setting skill guide from Game Option, UI Edit.  

● Fixed an issue where the Collect All Installation function used to collect everything without checking because there was no cancel button. 

● Fixed an issue where the graphic was broken when you looked up with the Witch character while wearing an avatar.

 

【Other】

● Some coast area around Foot of Thermian Mountain has been changed to a safety zone.

  - A name of the area that has been changed to safety zone is called Terrmian Beach.  

  - This area is no longer available for installing Forts nor Node War.

 

【Sound】

● The background music for the main cities(Velia, Heidel, Calpheon City, and Altinova) has been changed to the unique soundtrack for each city.
