Hello, Adventurers.



This is The MMORPG, Black Desert.



 



Here are some clarifications and the measures we took to resolve the issues that arose after the Central Market update for Turkey & MENA server on December 26, 2018 (Wed).



 



1. Earning Silver by selling enhanced items.



First, we’d like to offer a sincere apology to our Adventurers.



Making a profit by selling enhanced items to the Central Market was an intended feature. However, we have found that the profit was set much higher than we intended. We have implemented temporary measures to stop transactions of such items immediately as of January 13, 2019 (Sun).



We did an extensive investigation after the temporary measure was taken. We have confirmed that the price settings of certain enhancement levels were set up abnormally and that some Adventurers had abused this error for their personal gain. We will be enforcing these measures to those people who abused this issue.



1. The abnormal item prices were fixed during the Central Market maintenance.

2. The abnormal amount of silver used or gained by this issue were retrieved.

3. Adventurers who have abused this issue will have additional measures implemented. Here is the table we will be following when enforcing restrictions.

2. Extracting Black Stones from items bought on the Central Market

Next, we would like to clarify a point of concern that was raised about buying enhanced items from the Central Market and extracting Black Stones from them.



The old Marketplace also allowed Adventurers to buy items and extract/melt them to get Black Stones or other enhancement materials. In the same context, you can buy enhanced items from the Central Market and get Black Stones from them.





Please understand this is just another method of gaining Black Stones other than acquiring them by defeating monsters or purchasing them from the market.



3. Abnormal Prices of Accessories: Silver retrieval and the additional measures



We would also like to thank our Adventures for another issue that was resolved due to their vigilance.





  1. What measures were taken against users who bought Cron Stones with the profit they earned by selling accessories and then enhanced gear?







  • We investigated all Adventurers who earned silver by selling accessories. However, we found that they used the silver they already owned before the incident occurred to purchase Cron Stones they used in their enhancement attempts.







  1. Why were Adventurers who profited by selling accessories not banned?







  • In our investigation, we did not find any Adventurers that earned silver by intentionally abusing a game or service error. Therefore, we just retrieved their earnings from the sales.







We would like to offer our sincerest apologies once again for the problems and concerns related to the Central Market. We are thankful that we were able to discover and fix these issues because of your quick reports.
