◈ Kamasylvia Chapter 1 - Start of Training

At the beginning of time, before the time of recorded history, a sacred tree settled its root at the highest place of the forest. Goddess Sylvia descended together with spirits of nature and named the tree ‘Kamasylve.’ The energy of the sun and moon begot the Ganelles and Vedirs, who received the blessing of verdure and the tooth fairy.

Year 274 of the Elionian Calendar

The king of Calpheon Guy Seric exclaimed that Kamasylvia is, ‘A natural fortress protected by nature’. The trees in the forest were many times taller than he was. The gigantic forest was silent, but alive and breathing. Not only that, Kamasylvia took pride in their outstanding archers. This was a good opportunity to supplement the weak archery skills in the Calpheon army.

Kamasylvia agreed to form a military alliance with Calpheon as Guy Seric sent secret emissaries repeatedly. The Kamasylvian Archers were stationed at Saunil Fortress in southern Calpheon and the Anti-Troll Fortification. Several priests led by Saint Nelydormin were sent to Longleaf Tree Sentry Post.

Calpheon appeared to have gained a lot of advantages through this alliance.

However, Kama-Grána had a secret that they were hiding. It was part of their plan and struggle to maintain the beautiful paradise. There was a civil war going on within Kamasylvia. The descendants of Sylvia were fighting and shedding blood among themselves.

Year 276 of the Elionian Calendar

Brolina Ornette became the queen at a young and tried to seize Kamasylvia using all her might. She was born with the energy of the Ganelle and skilled in connecting with nature.

Furthermore, she was fit to be queen as she was incredibly smart and wise. However, the war was a different story. The Ahib, a Vedir force that threatened Kamasylvia, were making aggressive movements. They appeared to be burning up with rage.

The Ganelle and the Vedir were not like this from the start.

At the beginning of time, Ganelle received the energy of the sun and Vedir received the energy of the moon were born as twins. They stayed together as sisters and friends for a long time.

However, year 235 of Elionian Calendar, a disaster struck Kamasylvia and it tested their friendship. This was the first test the weak descendants, that always had everything they needed in abundance, were faced with.

The dark spirits entered the mountains and forests. As time passed, more sacrifices were made. The descendants of Sylvia relied solely on the strength of Kamasylve, the sacred tree from their Goddess. As nature continued to cry out to them, all they did was to prayed to their goddess for her intervention. She did not answer.

Vedir made a decision when Tulia of the forest of prophecies foretold that the capital will be eaten away by ashes.

Vedir constantly sought power so they can defeat the dark spirits.

They made countless attempts, but nothing was more powerful in Kamasylvia than the energy of Kamasylve. They eventually came to the conclusion that they could hope for more power by burning the energy of Kamasylve.

Hope turned into reality. The life energy formed by burning the energy of Kamasylve was powerful and destructive.

However, Kamasylve suffered for it.

Kamasylve was like mother nature itself. It was the source of nutrients and life to all the forests. When it perished, the loss that the descendants felt was beyond words. Thankfully, the song of the forest broke the sad silence. The song was comforting as it seemed to promise that Kamasylve will rise again. It echoed throughout the forest for a long time.

Even though the dark spirits were gone, the anxiety they felt for not being able to borrow the Goddess’ power was still strong.

There was no guarantee that there won’t be any disasters in the future. As a matter of fact, a worse disaster may come.

The descendants of Kamasylvia felt like they were in danger. They decided to create better weapons using the branches of Kamasylve and imbued it with the power of the spirits. They then started to train with these weapons.

Two armies were established, the Rangers that wielded both bow and sword and the Acher Guard.

The Acher took hold of the capital and closed all the gates on the border. They also rejected all outsiders from entering Kamasylvia.

The Vedir and the Ganelle started to drift apart. They had different ideas and used their powers differently. The Ahib then challenged the Archer Guard with surprising strength.

The Ahib was a faction made of only Vedir that craved supernatural powers.

It’s known that the perishing of Kamasylve was what led to the establishment of this faction. Perhaps they couldn’t forget the immense power they were able to wield by burning Kamasylve.

They did not care for the forest that formed them or the history of the spirits. They were also proud and opinionated. The Ahib was labeled as a cult and Kamasylvia started to look down on the Vedir as a whole.

Some of the Vedir preferred to stay in the middle, between the extreme views of the Ahib and the conservative Acher.

These Vedir were the Dark Knights who have pledged to protect Kamasylvia. They don’t use a pure power, but they have inherited the Kamasylvian Ritual like the Rangers.

Acher, Ranger, Dark Knight, and Ahib were all divided and didn’t have anything in common. To make it worse, Ahib’s arrogance grew even more with each day.

There were rumors of strange actions around Loopy Tree Forest, including the Kabua Mountain.

Acher Guard then designated areas in the forest where Vedir were not allowed to enter and strictly enforced it. The Ahib was obviously opposed to this, while the Dark Knights were outraged. The problem was that the Vedir were being targeted specifically.

Still, the Acher refused to step back. They actually went further by following the Ganelle’s opinions and pushing the Vedir aside. The Acher did not fear war. They knew that the Vedir population was barely over half of the Ganelle population. The Vedir were of no threat to them.

The Dark Knights decided to leave after this happened.

One early morning, they disappeared from Kamasylvia’s history.

When the Dark Knights left, Acher grew even bolder and started to subjugate the Ahib.

The Acher defeated the Ahib, so they escaped to the southeast. That was the Ferocious Salun Bear territory. The Acher could not follow the Ahib there. The Salun Bear were ferocious and could not be reasoned with.

It was no easy task for the Ahib to convince the Salun Bears. The bears had huge and intimidating shadows and deep blue eyes that shine in the dark.

The Acher had to turn back at the border of this dry land with sharp thorns.

Once the Acher returned to Kamasylvia, they started to take care of nature that was distorted by the dispute. They also had to find a way to awaken Kamasylve back to life.

There were some Vedir that remained in Kamasylvia. The ones that stayed either had some Ganelle energy within them or rejected their Vedir ways and sealed away their own energy.

The Acher did not drive them away.

Year 283 of the Elionian Calendar

One of the greatest changes in Kamasylvia was the recovery of nature.

They raised priests to awaken the sleeping Kamasylve. When the specially trained priests reached adulthood, they were sent to the outside world.

They went to various places in search of spirits and collected their energy. It wasn’t much, but it slowly restored Kamasylve.

Year 284 of the Elionian Calendar

8 years after the Ahib escaped to the Arid Land… An Ahib fortress was built in Rodilita that was shrouded in darkness. There were also rumors that they worked with the Salun Bears to create a new weapon. The dried thorns started to fill with deadly intent, and the barren land started to sway with the burning flames of the Ahib.

Lemoria Guards stations at the eastern side of Kamasylvian Steppes observed Ahib movements and raised their guard.

One day, the Lemoria Guards standing watch at Duzak Tunnel fought against the Ahib coming from the Arid Lands.

Lemoria sent reinforcements, but the results were horrifying.

They lost half the Lemoria forces protecting the plains. The Ahib retreated once the Kamasylvia priests sealed Duzak Tunnel off.

These Ahib were different from the ones they knew. What have they done to get this powerful? They feared them as if they are facing the dark spirits once again.

As Ahib’s evil influence spread, Acher grew nervous.

Kamasylve was almost fully restored. However, the peace that was kept for so long was being threatened by the Ahib.

Year 286 of the Elionian Calendar

Queen Brolina opened all the gates and roads coming into Kamasylvia. She sent out messengers to Calpheon and Drieghan.
