Hello, Adventurers!

This is The MMORPG, Black Desert.

Black Desert: Remastered Update was brought to the live server on 8/23 (Thu).

The update allows Adventurers to play Black Desert with realistic graphics and audio, along with the improve UI!

Our Adventurers are already experiencing the changes that go beyond the limits.

However, there are some questions that many of our Adventurers are asking about the Remastered Update. So, we collected them and put them here for everyone to find answers to their question!

Q. How do I use the ‘Remastered Mode’ setting?

Adventurers were asking, “you said the update is here, so what’s changed?”

The Remastered Mode is an option you must set in the game settings.

To turn on Remastered Mode, go to ESC > Display> Display Quality> Remastered Mode.

Q. What is ‘Ultra Mode’?

The enticing button next to the Remastered Mode!

Want to know what Ultra Mode is?

Ultra Mode brings up the graphic settings really high, making it ideal for taking screenshot and recording videos. We recommend this setting if your going around looking for the perfect  shot in Black Desert! (Please note, this setting requires a high-end PC to run it smoothly. You may experience difficulty playing the game when using this mode)

Q. What’s so good about using the Remastered Setting?

The heavy metal plates will now look awesome! Was Striker always this good looking…?

Shadows and shades become much more detail. Look at how pretty Ranger looks!

The water makes it feel like your looking at a beach of a resort!

Q. The nights are too dark in Remastered Mode!

Remastered Mode show even more realistic lighting so the nights are darker. This may be inconvenient for Adventurers that wants to go out at night to defeat monsters. However, there is a solution! You can go buy the ‘Atanis Firefly’ from the general goods vendors for 100 silver or for 10 Loyalties. The firefly lights up the area around you. So get one and watch your step when you go out at night!

Q. Playing in Remastered Mode is making me blind!

It seems that our search for even more realistic and vivid graphics has tireded out the eyes of our Adventurers (literally). We are aware of this issue and many others. These issues were fixed with client patch on August 24th. Black Desert hopes that our Adventurers will keep their eyes healthy!

Q. Can we still use the old HP, Contribution Points, Energy bars?

The new UI makes it easier for Adventurers to see useful information easier. However, it’s not easy adjusting to the new UI and some may even prefer the old UI. If that is the case, please go to ESC > Edit UI and select the ‘Custom HP Bar’ option to use the old UI.
