Everything You Wanted to Know About the ‘Equipment Tailoring Coupon’

Hello Adventurers!

There are a total of 3 types of outfits or costumes in Black Desert: outfits and functional costumes you can buy with Pearls, and craftable clothes you can make.

The craftable clothes may be inconvenient to use as it takes up equipment slots. However, you can equip the craftable clothes in your Appearance slots if you use the ‘Equipment Tailoring Coupon’.

Did you know, you can use the Equipment Tailoring Coupon to show-off your personal look or make Magic Crystals that can be transfused to your outfits?

Let’s check out the different ways the Equipment Tailoring Coupon can be used!

Before Using the Equipment Tailoring Coupon

The Equipment Tailoring Coupon is an item that switches craftable clothes into a costume.

These costumes can be equipped in the Appearance slots and have additional effects.

So, let’s find out how you can make craftable clothes before you get the Equipment Tailoring Coupon.

You can make craftable clothes in a house you purchase and change to a ‘Costume Mill’.

The ‘Design’ material needed to tailor the clothes can be obtained by buying them from NPC shops, completing quests, and stealing them from NPCs.

Collect all the materials you need then tailor the clothes you want!

The clothes tailored in the ‘Costume Mill’ may look very familiar to you. That’s because the craftable clothes are the clothes that NPCs wear across the Black Desert world!

◈ Switching Craftable Clothes into Costumes

Did you finish making the clothes you wanted? Clothes made in the ‘Costume Mill’ are typically equipped in the equipment slots.

That unfortunately means, they cannot be equipped with other equipment. So, use the ‘Equipment Tailoring Coupon’ so that it can be equipped in the Appearance slots!

Use the ‘Equipment Tailoring Coupon’ in your inventory to get a costume with an additional effect.

A costume made with Equipment Tailoring Coupons have the following traits:

  1. They are equipped in the Appearance slots.

  2. They cannot be used to get the Outfit Slot Equip Effects.

  3. The switched costume gets an additional effect.

* Select the craftable clothes to make by the type of crystal you want to get.

Outfits or costumes you buy from the Pearl Shop don’t have sockets to transfuse crystals, but there is a way to make sockets.

You can use the ‘Black Spirit's Claw’ to make sockets in outfits.

The ‘Black Spirit’s Claw’ is made by combining the ‘Black Spirit's Claw Pieces’. The pieces are obtained by defeating monsters in Biraghi Den, Wandering Rogue Den, Kuit Islands, Gahaz Bandit's Lair, Roud Sulfur Mine, Pila Ku Jail.

Place 3 ‘Black Spirit's Claw Pieces’ in a [─] shape and combine them to get a Black Spirit’s Claw. Use the Black Spirit’s Claw as enhancement material and enhance the outfit to make a socket.

You cannot use the Black Spirit’s Claw on costumes made with Equipment Tailoring Coupons and functional costumes.

You can transfuse the crystals you can get from heating costumes made from craftable clothes into the sockets made with the Black Spirit’s Claw.

This is everything there is to know about the ‘Equipment Tailoring Coupon’.

Try on the craftable clothes you like in Appearance slots using the coupon, or heat the costumes to make crystal that can be transfused into outfits!

Thank you.
