How to Participate
Decorate your Character Selection window in your own style with art pieces, doodles, graphic designs, cosplay, and more!
 

(Required) Create portraits with any themes (classes, bosses, regions, etc.). 

 

 

(Required) Submit a post showcasing your portraits on the [Fan Art] forum under Art & Media of the official website with the [Character Portraits] header in the title!


Please read the notes below before working on your piece.

① Portraits must be 624px (width) by 804px (height) BMP image files.
② BMP image files are not supported on official website posts, so please upload PNG files when submitting your post on the forum.
③ Images created with AI are not eligible for participation.

* You may be required to submit the process of your work (images, video) if chosen as a winner and your win may be revoked if you fail to submit evidence of your work.

STEP 1.
Move the BMP image you wish to use to My Documents → Black Desert → FaceTexture

STEP 2.
Change the file names of the images to the existing files you wish to replace. 
(You must either change their name or delete the existing files) 

※ Portrait images may not be properly applied if you do not use the same names of the existing portraits in the FaceTexture folder. 
※ You can change the order of character portraits in the End Game window.

※ Submitting multiple cuts of a large image may cause your rank to be lower during the selection process.

- Pearl Abyss reserves the right to use any content submitted for this event, including screenshots and videos, for promotional purposes.
These materials may be featured on various platforms, such as our official website and social media channels, without time or location constraints. 
- Copyright infringement or plagiarism results in disqualification, with potential prize repossession even after winner announcements. 
- Unspecified quantities in rewards default to one item. 
- Works created using AI or equivalent technology may be excluded from selection and subject to action according to the operational policy.

- The number of winners may change based on number of participants and winners will be announced on the official website on May 7, 2025 (Wed), two weeks after the event ends.
