  • Improved selecting objects installed inside the manor, particularly for when a placed tree overlaps both the exterior and interior.

Faint Origin of Dark Hunger

Since the "Kharazad Accessory" update, many adventurers have been crafting these accessories. Even those without PvP setups can now enjoy a wider range of stats thanks to the additions of WON and BON crystals. We appreciate your interest in Kharazad accessories.

Today's update brings an item to help with enhancing Kharazad accessories, and the loot from the Morning Light monster zones has been boosted. Like the "Origin of Dark Hunger," there's a new item called "Faint Origin of Dark Hunger" that lets you increase your Enhancement Chance via Devour.

While it might not match the Origin of Dark Hunger from the Devour-specialized Tungrad Ruins, we've made sure that adventurers visiting the Morning Light monster zones to craft and enhance Kharazad accessories, or to get Dawn Crystals or Essence of Dawn, get a bit of extra help.
  • Added the "Faint Origin of Dark Hunger" item which can be used to increase Enhancement Chance.
    • You can obtain this item from Honglim Base and Dokkebi Forest monster zones in Land of the Morning Light.

MONSTER

Tungrad Ruins

The recent update introduced Kharazad accessories, which allowed for adventurers who previously did not own a Deboreka accessory a way to achieve slightly higher attack power. Interest in the Essence of Devouring for gear enhancement has also increased, leading to approximately a 20% rise in Adventurers visiting the Tungrad Ruins.

In the Ulukita region, the monster zones have been improved. As these zones involve moving and defeating groups of monsters, we've improved the topography of underutilized locations and added more monster groups to enhance their appeal.
  • Improved some topography in the Tungrad Ruins monster zone to make movement and subjugation routes smoother, and added more monster groups.
    • Connected the two terrains below to allow for easier navigation during subjugation, and as a result, removed the forested steps nearby.

In response to the high interest in the Land of the Morning Light monster zones, we've added more Kkebidol statues and Honglim Base bandits to accommodate more adventurers. Additionally, with the new loot item "Faint Origin of Dark Hunger" introduced in today's update, we aim to make these zones even more appealing.

Looking ahead, we are preparing to sequentially implement the Golden Pig Cave and Gowun Plateau monster zones. As previously mentioned, in the Golden Pig Cave, gold accumulates on the Golden Pig statue at the cave's entrance during subjugation. Once it reaches its limit, the statue bursts, releasing the accumulated gold, adding a unique twist to your PvE experience. We've also tailored these zones to challenge Adventurers equipped with enhanced Kharazad accessories, ensuring a diverse range of Adventurers can enjoy the Land of the Morning Light. We will keep you informed through the Black Desert Global Lab.

Dokkebi Forest

  • Under the guise of night, certain kkebidol statutes in Dokkebi Forest appear to have moved on their own. Additional kkebidols appear to have filled up the empty spots left by the moved statues.  
    • Relocated a few kkebidols in the Dokkebi Forest monster zone.
    • Added two additional kkebidols to the Dokkebi Forest monster zone.
      • The total number of kkebidols have been increased: 4 → 6

  • Fixed the issue where frame rates dropped during combat in the Dokkebi Forest monster zone.  
  • Fixed the issue where monsters did not prioritize attacking Adventurers in certain situations during combat in the Dokkebi Forest monster zone.
  • Changed the kkebifire to spawn near the Duoksini's attack location after he disappears during combat.

  • Expanded the influence of Honglim Base bandits sworn to the Centipede Market by placing more Centipede Market sentries in various locations.  
    • Expanded the topography of the Honglim Base monster zone and added two Centipede's Marks to the expanded areas.  
    • Added one additional Centipede's Mark in the Honglim Base monster zone.

  • Adjusted the Foxfire to return to its spawn location if it strays too far after the Fox Bandit Boss is defeated.
  • Fixed the issue where Centipede Market bandits were not being summoned correctly when other adventurers were nearby.
 
  • Corrected the abnormal acquisition of Skill EXP when defeating monsters in the Dokkebi Forest and Honglim Base regions.

MOUNT

  • Added the feature to attach/detach mount gear and change appearances at the stable/wharf. 
    • You can also use this feature for horses harnessed to a wagon.

NPC, BACKGROUND, SOUND

  • Changed so your outfit's idle animation won't play while interacting with NPCs.


UI

  • Improved the name creation/change system to require re-entering the desired name when first creating a family name or changing a name using the Family/Character Name Change Coupon.
    • Any name changes made after this update will no longer be applicable for a Support ticket.
  • Changed the following for gamepad mode UI:
    • Changed to display a relevant message when there are no available fairy appearances while using the Change Fairy's Appearance function.
  • Changed the Character Creation screen so clicking it will skip the character animation (like ESC).


SYSTEM

  • Changed the default Graphic Quality in Game Settings to Remastered mode.
    • Moved the Remastered mode setting button in Graphic Quality Settings to Display Quality.
    • Changed the Display Quality Settings list, moving the Lowest Optimization mode to the first position.
    • Changed the title of High-Quality mode to Ultra mode, and the description has been changed to be more detailed.
 
  • Optimization work was done during the process of resetting the Refresh List Points for Barter.
