CLASS CHANGES

CLASS CHANGES
Today's patch brings changes to some class skills, specifically removing or altering Down Smash effects.
 
Down Smash is a special effect that activates independently of debuff counts, making it useful in PvP. 
However, when paired with crucial debuffs like Knockdown, Down Smash often triggered first, disrupting combos.
 
We confirmed through adventurer reports that this issue became more frequent after the recent hit count adjustment update. We appreciate the feedback from our adventurers and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.
 
To prevent this from happening in the future, we will separate Knockdown and Down Smash, ensuring each skill serves a single debuff purpose.
 
Most of the affected skills have had their Down Smash removed. Instead, the removed Down Smash has been added to other skills to provide an additional attack chance after the debuff count. For classes deemed having sufficient amounts, Down Smash was simply removed.

SCHOLAR
We've added the Abyssal Legacy skill for the Scholar class. Unlike other classes, this skill doesn't replace existing ones but is introduced as a new Flow skill.
 
By default, you can combo from the Home Run skill to attack from a relatively long distance and then follow up with a wide-area attack as you approach your target. Additionally, in situations where quick entry is crucial, you can combo after the Gravity Anchor skill, allowing you to enter enemy territory more securely and deal significant damage.
  • Added the Abyssal Legacy skill, "Flow: Gold Continuum."
    • Once any character in your Family has completed the Abyss One: The Magnus main questline, you can talk to the Black Spirit (/) and complete the "[The Magnus] Abyssal Insight" quest to learn this skill.
    • With the addition of the Abyssal Legacy skill "Flow: Gold Continuum," Scholars can now accept the "[The Magnus] Abyssal Insight" quest.

CONTENTS

War of the Roses
Changes to the starting rules for the War of the Roses have been added in this patch. The main change being, that if there are no Leading Guilds or only one is selected, the War of the Roses can still proceed with only the Third Legion. The War of the Roses takes place once every two weeks, and when it did not proceed for these reasons, it was disappointing for adventurers. We hope this update is able to alleviate that disappointment.
 
However, this patch is not the end. We will continue to find and address the root causes and make improvements. Currently, the War of the Roses heavily relies upon the role of Leading Guilds and the time and effort put in from adventurers in Leading Guilds. This has caused significant inconvenience and burden to those fulfilling this crucial role. Our response has been too slow. We recognize the need for fundamental improvements of basic functions, the burden of participation, and the honor associated with the final results. We will take all feedback from Leading Guilds into account and make improvements, even if it takes time. Although this patch temporarily allows the war to proceed without Leading Guilds, we will strive to ensure that such issues do not occur and that all participants can enjoy both honor and fun. Thank you.
Leading Guild and Third Legion
  • Changed the process so that if the number of guilds/alliances applying to participate as leaders in the War of the Roses is fewer than two, the war proceeds with only the Third Legion.
    • Changed the recruitment capacity of the Third Legion to a maximum of 600 members, proceeding as 300 vs 300 if the War of the Roses is conducted with only the Third Legion.
    • Changed the requirement so that the War of the Roses proceeds only if the number of adventurers applying to participate in the Third Legion is at least 400.
    • Changed the conditions so that without a leading (command) guild, commanders and advisors cannot be selected, and commander-exclusive skills or missions cannot be assigned to the Third Legion.
    • The application time for leading guild participation for the War of the Roses remains the same, from Saturday 00:00 to Sunday 00:10.
    • The application time for Third Legion participation also remains the same, from Sunday 00:10 to 15:05.
  • Increased the number of platoons available for deployment in the War of the Roses' Third Legion from 13 to 15.
 
Medal of Sylvia
  • Changed the total number of Medals of Sylvia that can be distributed when assigning missions in the War of the Roses from 5,000 to 100,000 to allow the leading guild to assign more missions to the Third Legion.
 
Siege Weapons
  • Decreased the max durability of the War of the Roses exclusive elephant by approximately 25%.
  • Decreased the max durability of the War of the Roses exclusive ancient chariot by approximately 23%.
  • Increased the damage dealt when attacking characters with the War of the Roses exclusive ancient chariot by 100%.
 

 

Arena of Solare

  • Changed the HP Recovery effects in the Arena of Solare to not decrease.
  • Increased the HP Recovery applied inside the Arena of Solare from 275 to 550.
  • Changed the HP Recovery effects applied when Flora's Breath is destroyed from 2,850 to 3,000.

Background Objects Remaster

To provide adventurers with a more immersive gaming environment, we have undertaken a partial remastering of background objects. 
 
Similar to the previous update of the terrain (such as rocks) in Ulukita, this update focuses on improving the texture quality of background objects and placed items, including furniture. The main goal of this task was to enhance the detail and texture expression of backgrounds and objects. We plan to continue these efforts across various aspects moving forward.

With the appearance of the Abyssal Well at Oquilla's Eye, adventurers who enjoy Guild Boss Raids, as well as those interested in sailing, can now move to Oquilla's Eye more conveniently. Although Oquilla's Eye is not a major city, it serves as a place of harmony for guild members and acts as a central node in the Great Ocean, so we've added the Abyssal Well for your convenience.
  • An Abyssal Well has appeared at Oquilla's Eye.
    • You can travel to Oquilla's Eye from other territories through the Abyssal Veins of the Magnus.
    • You can use the Abyssal Well and acquire knowledge of the Abyssal Veins after meeting the following conditions.

Hide Other Characters

When many adventurers gather in one location, such as for a world boss, the Hide Other Characters setting is available to ensure a smoother combat experience depending on the environment. To make this feature more convenient, we've added a button below the Boss Vision Range button.
  • Added the Hide Other Character button to appear below the Boss Vision Range Change button during World Boss encounters.

 

  • Improved the tooltip hints for each piece of knowledge in the Knowledge (H) window to be easily viewable even when the display size is set to small.

  • Added torches to specific locations inside Heidel Castle to light up the surroundings, allowing better progress of the Serendia main quest during nighttime.
