Today’s patch brings an overhaul to the 200% Black Spirit's Rage skill for several classes.
 
The classes affected by this overhaul include: Awakening Warrior, Succession Ranger, Succession Sorceress, Awakening Berserker, Succession/Awakening Tamer, Succession/Awakening Valkyrie, Awakening Witch, Awakening Wizard, Succession Maehwa, Awakening Kunoichi, Succession Dark Knight, Succession Striker, Succession Mystic, Succession/Awakening Lahn, and Awakening Guardian. While we initially aimed to release these changes sooner, additional optimization was necessary to ensure the 200% Black Spirit's Rage skill could be used more frequently and effectively in various scenarios. We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding the delay.
 

Revamped Striker Succession's Prime: Rage Hammer to a skill that destroys all things in front of the character.
 
Alongside the overhaul, we’ve also adjusted the damage output for the 200% Black Spirit's Rage skill across all classes. In PvP, Succession Berserker, which was overwhelmingly powerful, has been nerfed. This adjustment serves as a benchmark for balancing the damage output of other classes to minimize disparities. For PvE, all classes have received a significant damage boost. Additionally, the Speed Reduction debuff during skill use has been removed, and the cooldown has been reduced from 30 minutes to 20 minutes. (But, this cooldown can be further changed according to the PVP circumstances after live update.) We've put a lot of consideration into these changes, and we hope the revamped 200% Black Spirit's Rage skill will be more versatile and enjoyable for all adventurers.

  • Revamped the 200% Black Spirit's Rage skills of all classes as follows.
    • Adjusted the damage of Succession and Awakening 200% Black Spirit's Rage skills.
      • Main weapon skill damage remains the same as before.
    • Changed so Speed effects are not applied to Succession and Awakening 200% Black Spirit's Rage skill motions.
    • Reduced the cooldown: 30 min -> 20 min.
    • Changed so that mouse movements do not function during 200% Black Spirit's Rage skill use.

BERSERKER
With today's patch, Succession Berserker has been nerfed. Although we made some adjustments a few weeks ago, we missed certain aspects that resulted in Berserker being far stronger than intended.
 
In the previous patch, we aimed to balance Berserker by tweaking his defensive capabilities through Super Armor while reducing its overall sustainability. However, this inadvertently made Berserker more resilient than planned, and the absence of Stamina restrictions on movement skills, unlike other classes, only worsened the issue. We sincerely apologize for any frustration this may have caused to both Berserker adventurers and their opponents.
 
To address these concerns, today's patch brings several adjustments. We have focused on reducing excessive freedom of movement and the unintended resilience in certain situations. Prime: Fearsome Tyrant's DP increase effect has been changed to DP +30 for 10 seconds. Additionally, Prime: Lava Piercer and Prime: Predatory Hunt will now consume Stamina. We apologize once again for any inconvenience caused by our oversight, and we promise to swiftly address other classes that also require urgent improvements.

Guild League Regular Season

The regular season of the Guild League is about to begin.
 
In the previous Guild League, there were several areas that needed improvement. Thanks to the feedback from our adventurers, we were able to make gradual enhancements and successfully conclude the season. We extend our gratitude to all the guilds and adventurers who enjoyed the previous season, and we are committed to making the regular season even more enjoyable for everyone.
 
This regular season of Guild League comes with a few changes. 
The most significant updates include changes to the matchmaking score brackets, resurrection methods, and enhanced rewards.
 
Previously, guilds with scores above 1,801 were all matched together, 
which led to some dissatisfaction as the number of high-scoring guilds increased. 
Now, the maximum score has been raised to 3,801, and the brackets beyond 1,801 have been further subdivided.
 
Additionally, there were instances in the previous season where players would deliberately avoid resurrecting. 
To address this, the rules have been changed so that players are automatically resurrected after a certain period.
 
Rewards have also been significantly enhanced to make the content more meaningful for both guilds and individuals. 
Notably, guilds that achieve 1st to 3rd place will receive 400 billion Silver in guild funds, along with colored titles and bonus items, to ensure they are duly honored. 
While 400 billion Silver may seem substantial, it has been generously set as such before taxes to consider guild member incentives.
 
Moreover, new battlefields, including the area in front of Gyeongbokgung Palace (Geunjeongjeon Hall), have been added to make the experience even more enjoyable.
 
Oh! And during this second season of Guild League, we are also preparing a new update for the Arena of Solare. 
We received feedback that the previous Arena of Solare, which lasted only a month, was too short and had room for improvement. 
Based on your suggestions, we aim to further develop the Arena of Solare.
 
Arena of Solare was designed to help newcomers to PvP by focusing on "everyone using the same equipment" and "three-person teams for less stressful combat." 
While we will maintain this pure approach, we are also preparing to support additional modes using the Arena of Solare system.
 
For example, there will be an mode for those who want to purely prove their skills in 1:1 combat, 
and an mode where players can compete using their personally customized equipment. 
These modes will come with honorable rewards, providing new goals for more adventurers in PvP.
Additionally, we will continue to improve other content such as Red Battlefield, Node War, Conquest War, and War of the Roses based on your feedback.

Guild League
How to Participate
  • Press the "Apply" button in the Guild League menu in the Guild window (G).
  • Press the "Apply" button in the Guild League menu in the War (F7) in the Menu (ESC).
Application Period
  • Weekdays from 5 PM to 1 AM, Weekends from 1 PM to 1 AM
  • Guild League matches start every hour and half hour.
    • If you apply at 2:15 PM, the matching will be complete at 2:30 PM, and the Guild League match will start once the opponent is determined.

※ Entry to the Guild League is unavailable in certain regions. (Atoraxxion, Battle Arena, Old Moon Grand Prix, etc.)
※ A guild member who has "Apply for Guild League" authorities can apply for matching.

※ You cannot apply to the Guild League if there are less than 7 guild members logged in.

※ You cannot apply or participate in the Guild League during Node/Conquest Wars and War of the Roses.

※ With the start of the regular Guild League season, penalty counts accumulated from previous Guild League matches have been reset.

  • 7 - 10 members
Match Duration
  • Match Duration: 20 min
    • After the match is set, there is a 2-min waiting time to enter the Guild League.
    • There is a 1-min waiting time after the match ends, after which you will automatically exit the Guild League.
    • You can freely enter and exit the Guild League after the match starts.
Victory Conditions
  • Victory Conditions: Achieve 1,000 points (100 kills) or the guild with the higher score wins when the match ends.
    • If the scores are tied, the battle continues, and the first guild to score a kill wins.
  • Points Earned
    • The first kill awards 50 points.
    • Every kill after awards 10 points per kill.
Revival
  • Each guild has one revival point at a designated location.
    • - Upon death, characters will automatically resurrect without needing to press a revival button. After a brief period within the protective veil, they will be transported back to the combat zone.
      • There is no limit to the number of revivals.
    • If you are out of combat upon revival, you will be Invincible and have a Damage Reduction effect for a certain period.
    • Death penalties such as EXP decrease and crystal destruction do not apply.
Penalties
  • Accumulating 3 penalties leads to a 1-week ban from the league.
    • You will need at least 7 participants from your guild before a match begins or face immediate defeat and a penalty.
    • If your guild's participant count falls below 4, it will be considered a loss. The match will end automatically, and a penalty will be given.
Others - If you exit during the Guild League, anyone from the same guild can step in for you.
 * However, damage and debuffs recorded during the match are reset upon exit.
- Guild members who joined the guild after matching cannot enter the ongoing match.
- The notification duration for consecutive kills is 15 sec.
- Equipment durability does not decrease during the match.
- Cannot use Escape within the Guild League battlefield.
- Consumable items can be used without limits, but Medical Kit cannot be used.
- Install items, such as Stun Trap and Cannon, and transformation items cannot be used.
- You are automatically assigned to a platoon when you enter the match and automatically leave upon exit.
- If you are already in a party/platoon, you can enter after leaving the party/platoon.
- Adventurers joining a guild as War Heroes will not be able to see the Guild League menu and will not be able to join as well.

    • When the Guild League first starts, you start with 400 points.
    • When you win or lose in the Guild League, your score changes according to the result, and matches are made based on the score range.

Dormancy Penalty

  • If you do not participate in matches for a certain period within a specific score range, your score will be periodically deducted based on the score range.
3401 points or more Non-participation in a match for 5 days results in a 50 points deduction every 2 days.
2601-3400 points Non-participation in a match for 5 days results in a 40 points deduction every 2 days.
2001-2600 points Non-participation in a match for 5 days results in a 30 points deduction every 2 days.

For example, if you achieved 1,700 points and played your last match on Jan 1, but did not play for 5 days until Jan 6, ranking points will be deducted on Jan 8, which is 2 days later.

1,601 points or more Non-participation in a match for 5 days results in a 50 points deduction every 2 days.
1,201-1,600 points Non-participation in a match for 5 days results in a 40 points deduction every 2 days.
801-1,200 points Non-participation in a match for 5 days results in a 30 points deduction every 2 days.

 


 

Guild League - Matching System and Score Brackets

  • The matching system for the Guild League is as follows:
1. Matching starts sequentially from the highest score brackets.
2. If there are guilds within the same score bracket, they will be given the highest priority for matching.
- If multiple guilds fall within the same score bracket, the system will randomly select an opponent from that bracket.
3. If no guilds are available within the same score bracket, the system will match with the guild closest in score, either from the bracket above or below.

Crescent Shrine [Dehkia's Lantern]
  • Fixed the following issues in the Crescent Shrine [Dehkia's Lantern] monster zone.
    • Fixed the issue where monsters that moved away from the Argos Obsidian Altar would occasionally become invisible after returning to their original positions.
    • Fixed the issue where Argos Obsidian Energy would continuously be summoned when adventurers moved away from Dehkia's Lantern.
    • Fixed the issue where the available locations for Dehkia's Lantern were not shown when moving the cursor over the "#Fixed Dehkia's Lantern Spot" tag in the Monster Zone Info window.
 

QUEST & KNOWLEDGE

  • Changed the basic completion reward for the quest "[Leap] Honor to the Trading Family #5".
    • Before: Gold Bar 1,000G x1, [Event] Trading EXP Transfer Coupon x1, Piece of Image x1,000

    • If you've already completed the above quests, you can acquire the "Memories of the Black Spirit" knowledge by talking to the Black Spirit.
  • Fixed the issue where the knowledge of "Jordine Ducas" and "Al Rhundi" could not be obtained if not acquired during the Serendia main quest.

  • Improved the background of the cutscene that plays when you start your adventure in the Ancient Stone Chamber after character creation to make it look more natural.
 
  • Changed the location where the ship appears when you call it through "Wharf Manager" Flanche at the Outpost Supply Port.
    • Changed the camera position to naturally reflect the new location where the ship appears at the wharf.
 

 
  • Five caves have been discovered in Donghae Province, Land of the Morning Light. 
    • These caves are home to rare gathering materials such as Everlasting Herb and Truffle Mushrooms.

UI

  • Changed the effect displayed in the slot of equipped gear and robes, including life tools, when equipping them.
 
  • Fixed the display of the equipment window to change from combat to life when equipping life tools, allowing for a more intuitive understanding of whether life tools are equipped.
  • Changed the emphasis effect to appear on the change stance icon when equipping a fishing rod or harpoon.
    • The emphasis effect is removed after closing the equipment window.
 
  • Changed the change stance icon to a fishing icon.
  • Added a hotkey explanation for the single quote (') key in the tooltip of the change stance icon.
 

 
  • Changed the below tutorials to be available for new and returning adventurers.
    • Changed the keyboard hotkey tutorial to be available upon accepting the quest "[Balenos] The Start of an Adventure".

  • Improved the process so that when performing Caphras Enhancement, Caphras Stones in your inventory are automatically activated.
    • Improved the process so that if you hold the required number of Caphras Stones in your inventory for Caphras Enhancement, the exact number of Caphras Stones will be automatically activated.
    • As before, you can also LMB Caphras Stones to insert the desired number of Caphras Stones.
  • Improved the process so that when attempting to enhance from Caphras Lv. 10 to Lv. 11, a confirmation message will be displayed.
 
  • Improved the process so that when performing Devour with items like Origin of Dark Hunger and [Event] Dim Origin of Dark Hunger, you do not need to RMB to re-register the items.
    • Improved the process so that after performing Devour, the items remain registered.

SYSTEM

The Clan system was developed during the early days of Black Desert when gathering the 100,000 Silver required to create a guild was burdensome. It served as a smaller group with limited guild functionalities. However, since the financial burden for creating a guild is no longer an issue, the clan system has become unnecessary. To avoid confusion between the two systems, we have disabled the ability to create new clans.
  • Changed so that clans can no longer be created.
    • All clans will be converted to guilds during the Sept 26 (Thurs) maintenance. Clan leaders are advised to take note and use guild promotion functions accordingly.
 

 
  • Fixed the character name color change of those with karma stats below 0 to be more recognizable.
    • Changed the character name color to gradually turn red from karma stats below 0 to -1,000,000.
    • Changed the character name color to remain red as before from -1,000,000 and below.

  • Official website - Moved the Max Contribution Points displayed on the Adventurer profile to the Family Information area.

  • Changed the house numbers for four properties in Altinova 7 to match the actual purchase order.
  • [Dosa] Improved the change to unique actions of outfits from standby to be more natural.
  • Fixed the auto-navigation during the "I witnessed it with my own two eyes." quest to guide you to the correct location.
  • Removed certain objects that were obstructing passage inside the court during the "[Calpheon] Dawson's Ledger" quest.
  • Fixed the combat zone's restriction area in the Great Desert during the Illezra tutorial.
  • Fixed the issue where mounts would occasionally fall under the bridge while crossing the Kamasylvia Castle bridge at high speed.
