My Page, where you can see your account and game info, will be divided into sub-categories, allowing you to view your account/game info more quickly and easily.

1. Account Information
- The game information of games you played will be easily viewable.
- You can also see recommended games that are playable based on your region.



2. Account Details
- An “alternative email” feature will be added, allowing you to change the email you signed up with.
By using the alternative email feature, you can directly resolve cases when you cannot receive authentication emails due to losing access to your registered email.

- If you set up your interested games and agree to receive promotional emails, you’ll be able to receive newsletters about the games you are interested in.

- A mobile phone number registration feature will be added.
You will be able to receive OTP verification codes via SMS. This allows you to complete the OTP verification process even in situations where you cannot use authentication apps.



3. Link Account
- More networks will be added to the list of social media platforms that you can link to your Pearl Abyss account.
After the account integration, you can use either Facebook, Google, Naver, or Kakao accounts to easily log in.

- You’ll also be able to link your Pearl Abyss account with your Twitch account.
By linking your Twitch account, you’ll be able to access Twitch Drops, which will be added in the future.

- Community forums will be largely divided into [General Discussion, Art & Media, Tips & Guides] categories. Some of the sub-forums of the previous General Discussion category have been combined.

2. Hashtag & Filter Improvements
- Appropriate hashtags and filters have been added to each forum, letting you easily find what you want to read.

As one account will allow you access to all of Pearl Abyss’s PC platform games, you’ll also be able to use all our community forums with one Pearl Abyss account.
Once you set up your Pearl Abyss profile with a nickname and profile image, you can start posting on the forums right away.





- Once the Pearl Abyss account integration is completed, the poster names (character name) of existing forum posts will be changed to “Character Name - TRME.”
( However, if you already have a Pearl Abyss account and you’ve already set up your profile, then your profile will keep the same set-up. If you wish to change your profile, you can reset your profile in Account Information.)
- For profile images, you can select one of the character images that we provide. Once you select a profile image, it will be displayed whenever you upload a post.
- Posts created before the Pearl Abyss account integration will not be separately deleted. You can still view someone’s posts by viewing the post history through their profile.

- Since forum poster names and representative characters are being separated, the feature for checking poster information/posts and game character information will also be separated.



- If you change your Family name, your characters will only be searchable with the changed Family name, and searching Family names with only part of the name will no longer be possible.
- When checking another adventurer's profile, you will be able to see the characters they own and detailed information about them.
- If you do not wish to disclose your character information, you can set your profile to private in the profile settings, to hide details such as level, life skills, and guild affiliation.

- The existing multi-step process of signing up for Black Desert will be improved to a single-screen process for a Pearl Abyss account.
- A Pearl Abyss account is an account that is used for PC platform services worldwide, which means that unlike before, information about your region of residence will be collected. After you submit your region of residence, you will receive recommendations based on what games can be played on your Account Information page.

- You will now have the option to set up automatic login via the Black Desert Launcher.
When automatic login is used on PC, clicking on the game launcher will automatically load the client without the need for manually logging in.

- Pressing the [Start Game] button at the top of the Black Desert website will automatically initiate client download or launch the Black Desert Launcher if the game is already installed on your PC.

When logging into the Black Desert website or game launcher, you will now have the option to toggle the IP security feature on/off.
This feature allows you to enhance the security of your account based on the IP information you have previously connected from. It is recommended to log in with the IP security feature enabled.

To protect your valuable account and game information, enhanced security measures will be implemented. In case of a login detected from a region where there has been no login activity on the account in the past 6 months, you will need to verify the login via email to gain access.
Additionally, in the Account Security Center, you will be able to review the daily records of regions and IP information where your account has been logged in over the last 6 months.

If your account is logged in on the game launcher or Black Desert+ app, you will now have the option to remotely log out through the "Login Management" feature in the Account Security Center.
If auto login is enabled for the logged-in account, this feature will be turned off simultaneously.

More Improvements

Changes to Certain Game Launcher Features

The login screen of the game launcher will be changed. Although you must log in to play the game, you will be able to download updates even if you are not yet logged in.



When you log in to the game launcher for the first time, a pop-up with the Black Desert Terms of Service will appear. You need to accept the terms to launch and play Black Desert.

 

Cookie Pop-up for Pearl Abyss Account Pages

In accordance with global security standards, cookie pop-ups will be displayed on Pearl Abyss websites that can be accessed worldwide. You can choose to allow all cookies to be saved or choose your own custom settings, such as mandatory cookies only, etc.

You can reject cookies via one of the following methods. However, if you reject cookies, some services may no longer be available.

Black Desert TV Page Revamp

Black Desert TV is a place where you can find Black Desert streams from around the world, in multiple languages.
You can also discover Black Desert partner streamers from various regions. Detailed information on this will be provided in a separate announcement in the future.

 

Twitch Drops Feature Open

Twitch Drops is a feature that allows you to earn various rewards simply by watching Black Desert streams on Twitch and playing the game.
More information will be announced in a future notice.
