Greetings, Adventurers.

 

We are preparing for the integration of Pearl Abyss IDs for adventurers using Black Desert services in Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macao, Japan, Turkey, and MENA regions by March 27, 2024 (Wed).

 

Pearl Abyss IDs offer enhanced account security for the protection of adventurers' personal information, as well as various added/improved convenience features and services.

Pearl Abyss ID Integration?

Q. What is a Pearl Abyss ID account?
A Pearl Abyss ID account not only allows you to play Black Desert but will also include other games serviced by Pearl Abyss.

As of now, the Pearl Abyss account system is implemented for Black Desert services in Korea, NA/EU, South America, and Asia (TH.SEA). We are also preparing features for more convenient integrated account systems for adventurers in Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macao, Japan, Turkey, and MENA regions.
The Pearl Abyss account system will also be expanded to include Pearl Abyss’s upcoming new titles.

Q. When will the Pearl Abyss ID integration be applied?
Players using Black Desert services in Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macao, Japan, Turkey, and MENA will be able to experience the Pearl Abyss ID after the integration during Mar 27, 2024 (Wed) maintenance.

* Please note that this schedule may be subject to change, and we will provide notice in advance in case of any changes.
 
Q. What procedures are required to integrate into a Pearl Abyss ID?
For most adventurers, after the Mar 27, 2024 (Wed) maintenance, simply logging in with the existing account through the website or game launcher will commence automatic integration into a Pearl Abyss ID.

If you have an account registered with the same email address, or if additional authentication procedures are required with your account, the integration of your Pearl Abyss ID can be completed through simple steps such as email verification and setting a new password.
 
Q. I have multiple Black Desert accounts. Can they be integrated as well?
Pearl Abyss ID integration will be conducted on an account basis, meaning you can integrate all of your accounts.

If you wish to integrate all your existing accounts, please log in with each email account after Mar 27, 2024 (Wed) and complete the integration process.

* However, Family information (characters, items, etc.) unique to each account cannot be merged or transferred into a single Family.
 
Q. What will happen to account security measures (2nd passwords, OTP, etc.)?
Account security measures such as 2nd passwords and OTP’s that were registered beforehand will remain the same and will be integrated.
 
Q. Are there any changes to registered personal info or game data?
After integration, account information, payment details, and game data will not be changed. You can continue enjoying the game with the same Family and characters.

What changes can I expect?

The existing game services you've been using will remain unchanged and new improvements and various convenient features will be added to the website.
 

1. A secondary email feature will be added.

- This will allow you to add a secondary email to your account, which can be used to log in with. You will also receive information mails regarding your account and payments to this address.

 

2. Mobile number registration will be added.

- If you register your mobile number to your account, you'll be able to securely log in via a verification code sent to your mobile phone, even when you cannot use the OTP verification app.


3. The process for creating a new Pearl Abyss ID will be simplified.
- The steps for new member registration, which required navigating through multiple pages, have been simplified, allowing new registrations on just one page.
 
4. The range of SNS links facilitating easy logins will be expanded.
- After the integration, you will be able to link your account with four SNS accounts: Facebook, Google, NAVER, and KAKAO.
 
5. Community will be enhanced, and a community profile feature will be added.
- The community section found on the Black Desert website will be more organized and convenient.
- You will now be able to set your display name in the community to any desired name, removing the previous limitation of main character names only.
 
6. The Black Desert TV page will be revamped.
- After account integration, you'll be able to easily view live Black Desert streams from around the world.
- Along with the Black Desert TV revamp, we are preparing a Stream Partner Program and Twitch Drops.
- Details regarding this will be provided in future announcements.
 
We will provide more detailed information on additional conveniences and improvements through future notices.
 
 
We will do our best to ensure that no inconvenience is felt by adventurers until Pearl Abyss ID integration is implemented.
