Desert
From sickness to sandstorms and monsters, the desert is full of surprises. There are a few things you should know before you travel to the desert.
The vast barren desert covers all areas of Valencia. Adventurers traveling to the desert will experience severe temperature change:
The desert is unbearably hot during the day and freezing cold in the evening. As a result, adventurers are prone to desert sickness (heatstroke and hypothermia).
Adventurers traveling on horses, wagons, and other mode of transport will experience decrease in movement speed and performance in the desert. You also cannot use the navigation function in the desert.
Adventurers may find themselves caught in a deadly sand storm if they are not careful. It is a good idea to prepare thoroughly before you travel.
However, many adventurers are traveling on camels and elephants in search for adventures and hidden treasures in spite of the danger.
Desert Illness and Sandstorm
Adventurers are susceptible to desert illness, because the temperature changes frequently in the desert. Adventurers can get heatstroke during the day and hypothermia in the evening.
It’s a good idea to prepare remedies (Purified Water and Star Anise Tea) in advance before you travel to the desert.
Sick adventures will continuously lose HP until the desert illness wears off. Although you can use potions to recover lost HP, we recommend you use the remedies (Purified Water and Star Anise Tea).
This will save time and make your farming more convenient if you are hunting in a zone that is part of the desert.
· Star Anise Tea
The Star Anise Tea is used to treat hypothermia.
You can acquire Star Anise from gathering Star Anise Tree. After you acquire the Star Anise, you can make a mixture with Purified Water or Distilled Water to craft the Star Anise Tea.
· Purified Water
The Purified Water is used to treat heat stroke.
You can fill the empty bottle from the river or filter the bag of muddy water to obtain Purified Water. You can purchase the empty bottle from the Material Vendor.
▲ Use Purified Water to cure heatstroke and Star Anise Tea to cure hypothermia.
You also need to look out for sandstorms when you travel in the desert.
We recommend you move to safe area to take cover or set up a tent if you see a sandstorm brewing on the horizon.
You can purchase tents from the Stable Keeper (NPC) in the desert. The tent can be used in all areas of the desert. You can set up the tent by clicking the right mouse button.
However, you cannot pack up and reuse the tent. It’s always a good idea to purchase multiple tents for long term travel.
