Adventurers,
We plan to revise the Black Desert Operational Policy as mentioned in our 03/19 notice, “Measures against the Transfer of Silver between Accounts”.
The Operational Policy is meant to create a healthy game environment and be an impartial service for our Adventurers who play Black Desert.
However as our Black Desert service progresses, its content receives steady updates and existing content transforms in various ways. Consequently, there are cases where some parts of Operational Policy are no longer applicable to current circumstances.
For these reasons above, we will be revising the Black Desert Operational Policy. Today we will briefly explain the planned revision details and purpose.
1. Changes and Additions to the Restriction Criteria Article
Certain details of the Restriction Criteria Articles (especially those relating to the market) were created using the previous Marketplace specifications, before the implementation of the Central Market. As a result, these articles will receive changes to ensure congruity.
We will be adding punishments for the misuse of game systems, and for abnormal trading methods between accounts. The act of transferring wealth and items between accounts through abnormal methods, such as real money transactions, directly threatens the economy of Black Desert’s market.
2. Additions to the Recovery Criteria Article
We will be adding newly updated system cases that qualify for recovery, so our Adventurers can enjoy a better game experience.
However, please be aware that we have no plans to revise the current unrecoverable cases.
3. Strengthened Punishment Criteria for Certain Policy Violations
Client tampering, illegal programs, and macro usage (especially the use of illegal programs to gain unfair advantages) adversely affects the experience of a large number of Adventurers who play the game.
These policy violations are immensely harmful to our law-abiding Adventurers. Therefore, we will be revising our policy to implement immediate permanent restriction for first-time violators depending on the severity of their violation.
For cases when the illegal program is not used directly. If there is evidence of unfair advantages gained indirectly (i.e. parties), then punishments will still be applicable.
The exact details of the Operational Policy revision and application date will be provided through a later notice.
In order to ensure an enjoyable and healthy game environment for Black Desert, we will continue to retaliate against illegal programs, macros, abusive behaviors, bug exploitation, and other such violations of the Operational Policy.
We ask you for your understanding and cooperation.
Thank you.
